Mistero Buffo at Chicago Fringe Festival

After a successful run at the Balcony Theater at West Park Presbyterian Church​ in May 2016, an award winning performance​ as the 2016 Best Physical Theater Show​ at the United Solo Theater Festival​ and a presentation at Hollywood Fringe Festival ​where we won the Encore Producers’ Award 2017​, our Giullare returns in Chicago Fringe Festival and invites the audience to challenge the puritanical stereotypes of religious traditions with laughter, giving a human dimension to the concept of miracles.

A modern clown entertains his audience by performing a provocative Comical Mystery. Like another Jesus Christ, he redefines the notion of authority by giving a human dimension to the concept of miracles.

Acclaimed Greek actor Panos Vlahos​ will perform this new adaptation of Dario Fo’s Mistero Buffo ​for the first time in Chicago​. The performances will be held in September 2017​ as part of the Chicago Fringe Festival​.

Performances Dates: FRI 9/8 at 7pm, SAT 9/9 at 5:30pm, SUN 9/10 at 2:30pm
