Mistero Buffo at Chicago Fringe Festival
After a successful run at the Balcony Theater at West Park Presbyterian Church in May 2016, an award winning performance as the 2016 Best Physical Theater Show at the United Solo Theater Festival and a presentation at Hollywood Fringe Festival where we won the Encore Producers’ Award 2017, our Giullare returns in Chicago Fringe Festival and invites the audience to challenge the puritanical stereotypes of religious traditions with laughter, giving a human dimension to the concept of miracles.
A modern clown entertains his audience by performing a provocative Comical Mystery. Like another Jesus Christ, he redefines the notion of authority by giving a human dimension to the concept of miracles.
Acclaimed Greek actor Panos Vlahos will perform this new adaptation of Dario Fo’s Mistero Buffo for the first time in Chicago. The performances will be held in September 2017 as part of the Chicago Fringe Festival.
